Shaffona Morgan
Outreach Worker
Trenton-born singer-songwriter Shaffona Morgan blends gospel roots with versatile artistry. Winner of Hezekiah Walker’s singing competition, a finalist on The Voice, and a contender on American Idol, she has opened for Smokie Norful and released music including Hood Pain, Flava in Ya Ear, and her standout single, The Meanest, which gained hometown and regional acclaim. Beyond the stage, Shaffona serves with the Trenton Restorative Street Team and City of Trenton, using her voice to heal—singing at funerals for victims of violence, feeding the hungry, and inspiring hope through her testimony of resilience and faith. Behind the music is a testimony of resilience. After losing her mother and uncle in a tragic car accident, and later enduring six years of incarceration, Shaffona chose not bitterness but purpose. Featured by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for her advocacy, she serves with passion and precision!
