Dr. Timothy Levi Adkins-Jones

Rev. Dr. Timothy Levi Adkins-Jones is Assistant Professor of Homiletics at Boston University School of Theology and a leading voice in Black preaching, communal homiletics, and preaching as public and prophetic witness.  With more than twenty years of pastoral ministry, including nearly a decade as Senior Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Newark, he brings deep experience in congregational formation and community engagement. Beyond the academy and the pulpit, Rev. Dr. Timothy Levi Adkins-Jones remains committed to faith-rooted activism and public theology through his service as a Trustee for Salvation and Social Justice, while also grounding that work in family life as the proud husband of Rev. Dr. Amey Victoria Adkins-Jones and father of Sofia, Ezekiel, Isabella, and Judah Nwà.
