Pete Lewis

The unofficial “Mayor” of his block, Pete Lewis is a High-Risk Interventionist with the Trenton  Restorative Street Team (TRST). Alongside Keiyon Jones, Pete was recruited in 2022 to help establish the TRST. This initiative was helmed by his father, who had been working with  Salvation and Social Justice since 2020. Together, they launched a community-centered effort focused on delivering trauma-informed preventive care to break cycles of violence. Pete brings a warm, approachable presence—whether it’s helping someone fix a window or offering ice, everyone in his neighborhood knows they can turn to him. His welcoming demeanor immediately puts people at ease,  making outreach effective and genuine. Pete’s familiarity with his community is a cornerstone of his effectiveness.
