Mykeema Ford
Safe Passage Coordinator
Mykeema Ford is a respected community leader and basketball standout. She made history with her team as the first to win both a State Title and a Tournament of Champions Title. Holding Trenton Central High School's all-time scoring record for 23 years, she has earned multiple MVP honors, Player of the Year awards, and inductions into the Trenton High and Mercer County Halls of Fame. In 2007, Mayor Doug Palmer declared August 19th as Mykeema Ford Day in Trenton. Awarded a full basketball scholarship to Stony Brook University, she became the school’s second all-time leading scorer, earning MVP and Player of the Year honors. Beyond her athletic success, Mykeema’s greatest impact is off the court — mentoring, tutoring, and supporting youth while fostering their education and well-being. Known as Coach Kaye or Aunt Keema, she builds lasting relationships with young athletes and their families. For over 20 years, she has dedicated herself to youth development. Now working with Salvation and Social Justice as a Safe Passage Circle & School Coordinator, she continues to train and mentor the next generation.
